An Elephant & A Donkey, A Chicken & A Fox—Lets Party!

I don’t dress up in furry animal costumes and role-play the night away, but that doesn’t mean I’m not completely fascinated with the whole subculture. An elephant and a donkey, a chicken and a fox—much respect for anyone that can just open their kinky closet up for all to see. It’s just not for me—mainly because I can’t help but picture the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons behind every mask.

No idea whether Portland based photographer Michael Cogliantry was documenting life or a subculture, but either way Furverts (out now on Chronicle Books) looks like it peels back the layers on a hysterically funny subculture.
