...and best way to pick up drunk Havasu co-eds!

Like the Rinspeed sQuba or Splash, or the even older Gibbs Aquada, the WaterCar is aiming to bring amphibious transportation to the masses. Like all of the above, the WaterCar will almost certainly fail. At least for all their efforts they claim to be the “world’s fastest amphibious vehicle” which could very well be true, especially considering the powerplant for the WaterCar comes from the Corvette’s LS engine (whichever particular version you choose is up to the buyer). They claim 60+ mph water speeds and 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which would put it easily faster than earlier Bond-emulating amphibious cars.

“Designed from the ground up to utilize the very latest in materials and the most state-of-the-art hull design.  Each rolling chassis incorporates a light weight 304 stainless steel structural frame, state-of-the-art Dominator Jet, and the customers choice of Corvette engine…Each Python is hand built, taking the word custom to an entirely new level.  From a choice of over 60,000 exterior colors and 4,000 interior colors/finishes, to the exact seat/pedal/shifter placement, tailored to perfectly fit the owner.  Every detail, every curve, every screw, everything on this vehicle is built exclusively for you, truly to be one of a kind!”

WaterCars begin at $200,000.00, which when you factor in the cost of a boat and car (and hitch, trailer, etc) isn’t that bad a deal really. And as illustrated in the video below, it’s the ultimate “chick magnet” to scoop up all those sloppily trashed Havasu boat skanks. Bingo! And with all the money you save on trailers and hitches, you can invest in that inevitable penicillin re-up…I mean, have you been to Havasu???
