The latest and most anticipated Breitling timepiece combines the Swiss brand’s iconic aeronautical Navitimer model with its coveted self-winding Caliber 01 movement. Built to handle all airborne navigation calculations like average speed, distance covered, rate of climb or descent, fuel consumption and more, the Breitling Navitimer Caliber 01 will be very limited in production — only 2,000 in stainless steel and 200 in the slightly more bold 18K rose gold will be crafted. The wristwatch is the world’s oldest mechanical chronograph still in production, and in 1962 accompanied astronaut Scott Carpenter on his orbital flight, thus becoming the first space-going wristwatch. No question this one will surely become a collector’s timepiece.
