Blowing bubbles in the face of bad marketing

When we went to the launch of the 2012 Scion iQ last month, during part of the presentation they took us into a small room and showed us a 3D film — fully  immersive, complete with bubbles that came out when the iQ goes to the car wash and high powered wind. During the ride the car takes you through landscapes painted by a handful of talented artists — including Franki Chan, Sage Vaughn, Josh Graham, Evelyn Lee and Ana Serrano. We’ve been to a lot of launches, and that was one of the cooler ideas we’ve yet seen. Now Scion’s released the video in limited capacity (below), and it’s a clever bit of marketing. Just like the tiny car itself, very well executed…
