The story of Powell Peralta's legendary 1980s skateboard crew

We posted about the Bones Brigade: An Autobiography documentary when it was just a teaser, but now the full trailer has been released and we’re only getting more excited. We’ve been worshiping the truly legendary Bones Brigade crew ever since first popping in that old VHS tape of Search for Animal Chin oh so many years ago, and witnessed a skateboard video that changed everything in the 1980s. The Powell Peralta team was unstoppable, and their deck designs (to say nothing of their timeless & peerless “The Ripper” logo) influenced teen rabblerousers in ways indescribable. The team of Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero and the young turk of the crowd, Tony Hawk, changed skateboarding forever — really introducing street skating, while creating the aesthetics of the sport from the ground up. Now team owner, erstwhile Z-Boy and former pro skateboarder Stacy Peralta directs the definitive documentary on his legendary team, which seemed inevitable after the success he had directing the documentary of his own original crew, Dogtown and Z-Boys. Bones Brigade: An Autobiography will be showing at screenings across the world, so just visit their site and keep your eyes open…
