A young London boy's got the blues, bad
London’s King Krule (Archie Marshall, formerly under the moniker Zoo Kid) holds a very dear place in my heart. For being 18 now he’s honed in on translating his blues to beautifully composed songs, utilizing sound and space in an extremely articulate and sophisticated manner. After the internet got a hold of his debut “Out Getting Ribs” (which rips your heart to shreds, you’ve been warned) at 16 years old, then releasing a self-titled EP about a year later, it’s great to hear a longer, fuller track from Marshall that’s released in a timely manner allowing for both song and self to mature. “Rock Bottom”, a more up-beat, funky yet clean track is part of a two-side 7″ that’ll be released September 29th.
