The iconic basketball-shoe gets its patches worked

Converse broke performance footwear history in the 1970s with the release of the Converse Pro Leather, a shoe that has ornamented the feet of some of basketball’s greatest stars of the era. For the Fall/Winter 2012, the model will make way in the 2012 First String Pro Leather collaborative collection, and Stussy NYC had the honor of designing the first of the five prospective pieces in the collection. For just $128 your feet may be graced by these NYC-inspired patchwork Converse Pro Leathers, made eyecatching by the shoe’s bold use of mixed materials, colors and patterns (not too dissimilar to the Nick Wooster x United Arrows Harris Tweed Mallory Jacket we posted yesterday). Limited to only 125 pairs in total, the Stüssy NYC for Converse First String Pro Leather releases August 25.
