This rucksack was collecting dust in Wallace & Barnes archive. A Civil War-era military bag inspired the sack, which lends it its genuine vintage feel. Fitted for the outdoors, the hand-stain thick leather straps have wear and tear appeal. There’s space for a sleeping bag and saddle blanket with a workable internal system. The cotton canvas and worn, used vegetable-tanned leather give the bag an old world feel. Lucky for us, they’ve dusted it off for all our adventures. Pick it up at J. Crew for $298.
