The first half of the "A Storm of Swords" book comes to HBO

It is time, my fine nerdlings, to officially begin your swordplay geek-out as the trailer for the much anticipated third season of Game of Thrones has been released. One of the best TV shows of all time, GOT consistently outperforms already huge expectations and the third season seems quite capable of keeping the streak going. I mean, they haven’t even begun to touch on the supernatural aspects of Westeros as the White Walkers are about to stat making some noise. So many reasons to begin enjoying a slow, building nerdgasm. Although you still have to wait until March 31 for the HBO show’s season debut, you can assuage your anxiety by knowing that GOT showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have promised to increase the episode lengths a full 5 minutes each to about 57 minutes per. Nice. Season 3 will basically cover the first half of the novel A Storm of Swords, arguably the most popular of George R. R. Martin’s exceptional A Song of Ice and Fire high fantasy series, and will also see the debut of various major characters. Strap on your fur booties kids, Winter is coming here…
