The smoke is clearing from the explosion of Disclosure’s major label debut Settle, and in addition to such side effects as a Grammy nomination, the duo gelled the production of “You Stressin”, the latest track from New York rapper Bishop Nehru — he of the excellent “strictlyFLOWZ” mixtape.
More Motor City Drum Ensemble than Joy Orbison, Disclosure’s production is foliated by high school chemistry lab-style breakbeats and Macka chill organ progressions. Nehru’s relentless marble pitch levitates on top of the beat’s imprint, creating just enough dissonance to give “You Stressin” some physics. The track is available to listen to on Soundcloud below with no set date yet for its official Method Records release.
