Master mashup virtuoso Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis) has taken the last year off of his grinding tour schedule to concentrate on making beats — like, actual beats that other people would rap on instead of sampled and layered hits. After recording a gang of songs, Gillis decided to hook up with Freeway (of Roc-A-Fella, State Property, Cash Money and now Rhymesayers fame) as the chosen rapper to helm the project. The name of the collaboration? Broken Ankles.
