Only 99 of the highly exclusive Swiss timepieces to be made

We’ve covered a lot of the outlandish space-oriented creations from watchmaker Romain Jerome in the past (including various iterations of his Space Invaders Watch), and his new Spacecraft watch does not deviate from his M.O. The handbuilt luxury timepiece was made in collaboration with Manuel Emch, Eric Giroud and Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and features a retro-futuristic PVC-coated titanium case combined with horological complexity. The self-winding movement was created in Jean-Marc Wiederrecht’s Geneva-based manufacturing facility Agenhor exclusively for Romain Jerome.

“The combination of these four functions – lateral, linear, jumping and retrograde hours – is unprecedented”, explains Wiederrecht. “The movement features a kind of spring-driven carriage that drives the hour display visible on the side of the watch by means of a red-lacquered cursor moving beneath the metallised sapphire crystal every 60 minutes. The dragging minutes, appearing on a black disc, are read off on the top of the case that also features beadblasted titanium plates.”

Only 99 of Romain Jerome’s Spacecraft watches will be built by Swiss craftsmen, and as usual will command a hefty sum. Prices and more info coming soon…
