Lucky and FILTER will host the Lucky Brand Neighborhood Social series beginning this Sunday, June 14, at Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade. And guess who they got as the inaugural guest? Why, Bat for Lashes doing acoustic versions of her favorite songs. Nice one. Come see Natasha Khan and alter ego, Pearl, battle it out for mic supremacy. In this humble Madman’s opinion, I’m not a super fan of her new album, Two Suns, I thought it veered into melodramatic drudgery and kind off pulled the emergency brake there. Too many songs by this Pearl chick, who’s just a total buzzkill. Still, some good tracks and her voice is supposedly stellar live. Definitely not to miss, but will most likely be a total zoo…
