Just discovered the work of Emilie Lecouturier and Céline Poncelet. The team of two has been doing product and environmental design in Brussels under Atelier BLINK since 2006. I like how their work just puts a big ass smile on my face. That big knot of a couch couldn’t look more comfortable. And those tables that look like they have big Post-It Notes on top of them—they do. I’m too old to have a home full of furniture like this, but 1 or 2 pieces would definitely make me feel like a big kid. And I like that idea. It’s a balancing act, though, put too much of this type of stuff in your house and you run the risk of looking like some creepy child predator on the prowl.
