Music inspired jewelry usually comes off looking like a cheap piece of crap. And something that only a super music nerd would rock. I’m not getting that from Sakurako Shimizu’s Waveform series of jewelry. The artist records people yawning, sneezing, giggling bells ringing and people saying wow and then translates the audio/waveform into the laser-cut pattern you see on the jewelry. She’s also making wedding rings with the waveform from someone saying, “I do.”
