It’s Kinetic Artwork Meets Fully Functional Clock

continue-time-main

For someone that doesn’t really have a whole lotta interest in the time of day, I sure do enjoy seeing a nice clock. Continue Time by Sander Mulder is kinda crazy. On this one, two out of the three pointers rotate around another pointer, instead of the central point on the clock face, as with traditional time telling machines. It’s kinetic artwork meets fully functional clock. I really like how it continuously changes its shape during a full rotation of twelve hours. The idea came after Sander Mulder moved into a new house and broke their clock in the process. The minutes- and seconds pointer fell of the central axis, and where just dead at the bottom. Witnessing the random patterns that occurred with the hour pointer still rotating, the first concept for the Continue Time clock was born. I dig that. Continue Time  is limited to 20 pieces + 1 artist proof.
