It’s definitely becoming more common to see fashion designers create video look-books for their collections. Most of them aren’t even worth the bandwidth, though. Why someone would spend hour and hours designing a collection that reflects their character only to represent it with a crappy video is beyond me. Makes no sense. I think Swedish designers Jojo Ericson and Malou Palmqvist are with me on this. They have one of the best look-book videos I’ve ever seen. It’s not even like I’m in the market for women’s clothes or anything (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but this stop motion video literally made me stop and pay attention to what they’re doing. The video was done for their fall / winter 2009 collection.
