The latest signee from the esteemed Rhymesayers collective, Grieves, has teamed up with long time collaborator and musical foil Budo to remix Felt’s latest project, Felt 3: A Tribute To Rosie Perez. Felt, otherwise known as Slug and Murs, dedicated their last project to everyone’s favorite high pitched Puerto Rican actress, and Grieves and Budo decided to use the pieces to create an instantly likable, sample-heavy tribute-to-a-tribute available for free download HERE (you can also stream it there first if you wanna give it a taste before downloading). The 5-song EP is that perfect summertime BBQ music, held together by the incomparable lyrics of Slug and Murs with some nice breezy beats to keep your head bobbing as you man the steaks. If you want to give the remix game a shot yourself, all the acappellas and instrumentals from the Felt album are available on iTunes, and all proceeds from downloads benefit 826 National — a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging creative and expository writing skills in students across the country.
