Gola vs. Jean Charles de Castelbajac's very colorful Spring/Summer 2011 sneaker collection

Gola and French designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac have collaborated to create some very playful and colorful sneaekers for their Spring/Summer 2011 sneaker collection. Although very kitschy and tongue-in-cheek, the sneakers still manage to retain sufficient style to work. The new collection features several high top and low top styles, as usual featuring colorful and playful designs. A range of fabrics have been used on the high top and low top shoes, from leather to canvas and jersey, with some sneakers using bold WWII fighter plane Spitfire-inspired graphics (above) to other high tops emulating retro-future spacewear with shiny metallic uppers. There’s even one shoe shaped like a shark, with raised dorsal fin and all. The women’s plimsoll shoes have been splashed in color as well,  with brightly colored metal eyelets and buttons.
