This year heritage-rich British label Barbour celebrates 75 years of crafting quality menswear, and they chose Steve McQueen as muse to their anniversary line. A fitting choice as McQueen not only wore Barbour during the 1964 International Six-Day Trial (ISDT), but famously wore a Barbour jacket pretty much every day. The man who was once the world’s highest paid movie star emanated a true rebel image — one of the few Hollywood leading men who actually performed his own stunts, and who spent his spare time off-set race car driving and motorcycle racing. The Steve McQueen Tribute Collection inspired by this rugged lifestyle consists of knitwear, t-shirts and the favorite piece the jacket pictured above — military-styled and lined with the American flag and fabric that looks as if it might have come straight out McQueen’s closet. The line officially launches January 11th.
