A digital touchscreen timepiece
Designed by celebrated watchmaker Joerg Hysek, the new HD3 Slyde is simply a watch with a touchscreen face. While we’ve covered several accessory makers who’re marketing wristbands to convert iPod nanos into wristwatches, this is the first primary watch we’ve seen with a touchscreen. The digital nature of the face allows the user to toggle between a virtually unlimited variety of timepieces simply by flicking a finger. The Swiss-made watch will launch at Baselworld 2011, and will be available in black, grey titanium or pink gold cases matched with straps in either leather, alligator or rubber (in five colors). Price still TBA.
