Australian tuners RENM-Performance have dipped their mechanical fingers into the landmark R8 V10 frame and created a highly exclusive drop-top edition of Audi’s halo car. The RMS Spyder is fully fitted with carbon kevlar aero kit materials and revised aerodynamic modifications (revised front grill, brake cooling chambers, front splitter, redesigned front and rear side grills and rear diffuser), creating a much lighter vehicle with dazzling looks. Plus RENM boosts power by 75 horses up to 600 hps by recalibrating the ECU, adding a carbon fiber air intake and lightweight performance exhaust with centrally positioned tailpipe. Race hydraulic height-adjustable suspension and modified ceramic brakes to handle the improved performance are also implemented. Interior-wise, the RMS Spyder is loaded with carbon fiber elements like the steering wheel, center console, instrument gauge, shift gate, hand brake, arm rests and door trims. The standard seats are switched out with lightweight race seats upholstered in grey leather and red piping with R8 Spyder inscription. Depending on whether you’re gonna spend more time on the track or more time laying rubber on public roads, you can choose between Racelight 20″ wheels with Sportcup tires and/or Superlight 19″ wheels with race specification tires. In the end, RENM’s intentions are to create a still-comfortable convertible road car with serious motorsport intentions — elevating the already gorgeous Audi R8 Spyder to the next level. Price TBD.
