Veteran Lego builder creates functional engine with 2,500+ parts
Some boys just never grow up. Just ask Dutchman Barry Bosman, an avid Lego builder who recently built a fully functional V8 engine from 2,817 individual parts. CAD software was used in the design process and completion required LEGOs from specialty retailers. A self-proclaimed AFOL (“Adult Fan of LEGO”), Bossman is a veteran of the tiny block group having competed in numerous competitions. Altogether, it took Bosman roughly half a year from design to construction of the highly engineered engine, which is powered by a small electric drive.
