Only 10 of the limited edition Amoyna Burl cameras to be released
Sigma, the premiere Japanese camera and lens company, has put the lux in luxury camera via their Amoyna Burl wood finishing on the body of their SD1 DSLR camera. The expensive wood is culled from the Paduak trees of Southeast Asia, adding points for originality and aesthetic appeal to a camera that’s already loaded with 46 megapixels and the world’s first full color image sensor (the Foveon X3 image sensor). A limited run of only 10 pieces of the body-only Sigma SD1 Wood Edition are set for production at a price of $13,750 (€9,999).
