Italian automobile company Vygor has officially debuted the Opera, a hybrid of a Gran Turismo with an SUV. The Vygor allegedly combines the thrill of driving a GT with the practicality and safety associated with a raised four-wheel drive. Along with the use of a new tubular chassis made of high-strength steel, double-triangle individual wheel suspension and special shock absorbers, the Opera could be a nice addition to the variety of crossovers we’ve recently seen multiply like locusts in the marketplace. Still aren’t sure about full details on the engine, but we do know the Opera is being offered in three different power stages ranging from 300 to over 400 horsepower. Only 150 cars are set for production, but like most small-volume coachbuilders the buyer has the option to personalize their vehicle through certain technical details, designs and optional materials and fittings on the exterior and interior — including selecting rims with a 18-22″ range. Price still TBD.
