Starting with their CT AS Hiker Hi and CT Classic Boot Hi, Converse crafts the two variations of Chuck Taylor All Stars out of tanned canvas and dark brown tumbled leather, adding metal lace eyelets, red laces and white vulcanized soles. Dubbed “Candied Ginger” due to their colorway, the Hiker (below) strikes a more casual sneaker balance being dominated by canvas, whereas the Classic Boot’s increased leather (above) makes it a bit more shoe-like.
