There are so many endless “limited edition” iterations of Medicom‘s iconic Bearbrick toy that frankly we’ve lost interest. Yes we realize it’s a cash cow for the vinyl toy maker but really, it may be time to move onto a new design. That being said, every once in awhile a clever re-imagination comes along that justifies the continuing longevity of the collectible figure — and such is the case with fragment design’s Bearbrick above — a Big Bad Wolf literally hidden in sheep’s clothing. The furry suit can be removed, exposing the evil grinning villain beneath. Nice job by fragment design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara. The piece is part of the second Bearbrick World Wide Tour which is taking place in Tokyo’s Shibuya Parco from December 3 – 12. Using 1000% and 400% Bearbricks, the collection features collaborations with some of the top names in design including Stussy, TokiDoki (with whom we did a 2-part feature here), Mika Ninagawa, Jam Home Made, Conrad Leach and more.
