Jack Purcell sneakers were originally designed by the Canadian badminton champion in 1935 to increase performance. Today the eponymous sneakers have been revitalized in design, the latest edition from Converse being the Jack Purcell Johnny Tweed Highs. The sneakers are made with purple and green plaid tweed, and include a leather side details and textured toe cap that features the signature “smile” that distinguishes it from Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. Currently available at Size? for about $130.
