Slovenian coachbuilder Tushek has just unveiled its latest creation, the Renovatio T 500, which claims to be the lightest V8-powered car on the planet. The love project of race driver Aljosa Tusek, the unique hand-built supercar implements Audi’s naturally aspirated 450 horsepower 4.2 liter V8 and unites it with a series of cutting edge racing technology — such as carbon brakes, AIM PISTA instrumentation and double wishbone remote internally mounted coil-overs. Weighing in at a svelte 2498 lbs (1,133 kilos), the highly limited edition supercar can hit 0-62 mph (0-100 kmh) in 3.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 193 mph. Handling was placed at a premium during the engineering, allowing the Renovatio T500 to achieve a 1.7 lateral G-force. The desired results were to craft a lightweight, circuit-ready racecar that can be used as a daily driver… of course this is a common aim, and rarely achieved. Only 30 Tushek Renovatio T500s will be made available to the public, all individually tailored to the customer’s needs.
