   Thanks to all of you for your great replies re: wedding dresses. My grandmother’s wedding dress was dark blue with a white lace jabotshe married in a BC logging camp around 1900, I think, but I wasn’t sure if her choice was made through lack of opportunity for something different, poverty, or fashion. I guess it could have been a combination of all 3. I was married in a mint green cashmere suit my sister made for memy dh of nearly 50 years and I didn’t elope, but went to a courthouse and were married by a judge.
