After the recent announcements of its AM 310 Vanquish and DBS Ultimate, Aston Martin returns today with the unveiling of its latest supercar: the V12 Vantage Roadster. The Vantage Roadster is outfitted with the same 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine found in the Vantage Coupé, which is just fine and dandy from this perspective: 510hp (380kW) and 420 lb-ft (570Nm) of torque, which provides a 0-100kph (62mph) time of just 4.5 seconds on the way to a 190mph (305kph) top speed. As explained by Aston execs, the Vantage Roadster was designed to provide “full sensory overload,” and looks stunning in the red velvet cupcake livery above — a white exterior with crimson red soft top and matching interior. Mirroring the Coupé in almost every way, the British Roadster differs from the hardtop only in some chassis revisions mostly seen in the redesign of its rear suspension (e.g. modified damper set-up and new springs). The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is available for pre-order for about $233,000 (£150,000) — but if you live in America don’t bother, as the luxury convertible Vantage will not be coming to your shores.
