We all know American brand and luggage-maker Tumi means business when it comes to their carrying cases with high quality, utility and price, but their Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché takes it to a whole other level. It’s bulletproof (to NIJ Standard 0108.01, Threat Level I, to be exact) with panels comprised of 65 layers of polypropylene thermoplastic composite — the same used to create body armor — which makes the Tegra-“Lite” title a bit dubious, as it weighs in at twelve pounds. The classic combination lock adds another layer of security, ensuring no one’s touching whatever the hell you’ve got in that briefcase. But please don’t go superhuman and try to use the briefcase to defend yourself from bullets, it’s only gonna save whatever’s inside. Bummer, yes, but the briefcase isn’t quite done with surprises: it’s got a false-bottom interior, a handcuff ring and a pocket for an iPad, so you can… internet while you smuggle… er… transport important… papers. Hopefully whatever you’re looking to move is worth it, the bulletproof briefcase is priced at a cool $5,995.
