Balkan Vinyl’s limited edition Rave Wars 7″, repressed on translucent red vinyl, are only for pilgrims of the heavyweight nerd variety. Rave Wars alludes directly to one of almost everyone’s favorite films (except mine), blending the action figures from the original Star Wars movie with hardcore/breakbeat techno, often overlaying sound effects from the film. Only one hundred copies of the 7″ were made, and as the Balkan Vinyl website says, “These are the last ever available copies, as the metalwork has now been recycled. There will be NO FURTHER REPRESSES EVER.” So (insert classic Star Wars reference here). The 7″ comes with an original Star Wars figure dating from 1977-1983 and features a track by the classic acid re-mixer AGT Rave Crew. This is surely a legitimate investment for all Star Wars nerds. I hate to be the one to break the news, but if you hadn’t already taken the hint, all 100 limited editions of the Rave Wars vinyl are SOLD OUT. Black market time Star Wars fanatics!
