When released in January of this year, the Takara Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave Transformer sold out immediately, driving up prices for the already expensive figure to over $200 on eBay. It shouldn’t be that surprising, really, as Soundwave is arguably the coolest Decepticon there is (and inexplicably underutilized in the Michael Bay films). So now Takara is re-issuing the toy, and it’s available for pre-order for $160. Or you can wait till Hasbro releases its Masterpiece Soundwave here in America later this year, but that one looks a little bit different — sporting a yellow visor that’s not as popular as the Takara edition.
