A great mini-doc from the talented crew over at Red Bulletin and the ever hustling Danny Lee, who’s been putting his prints on projects like the Ben Baller series and the Road To Brooklyn Brooklyn Nets documentary. Midnight in Juárez tells the story of the Hardpop Bundesbar, an international nightlife destination in the heart of the former murder capital of the world: Juárez, Mexico. A peak behind the border wall of a city drowning in drug cartel violence, Midnight in Juárez is a short look into how people in even the worst situations make the most out of their lives through music, and something as common — and banal — as dancing. It almost makes me want to check the city… well, OK, probably not…
