The 542-horsepower, 186 mph performance British station wagon

Just before the Geneva auto show, Jaguar flips the sheets off its brand new super wagon, the XFR-S Sportbrake. Powered by the same fire-breathing V8 that beats inside Jag’s F-Type R (as well as XKR-S, XFR-S and XJR), the 542-horsepower lump is good for 0-60 in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph — pretty dazzling numbers for a stationwagon. Unlike the AWD Audi RS6 and AMG E63 Wagon which it is aimed at, the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake will only come RWD — better for squirrelly drifting everyone wants to experience in a station wagon. The also features Dynamic Stability Control, 20-inch alloy wheels and an eight-speed automatic tranny. Price for the Jaguar XFR-S is said to be £82,495, but we’re not gonna bother exchanging that into US dollars as the high-performance Sportbrake will never set foot in America. How very, very sad…
