Luxury design and travel-minded label Octovo has teamed up with board builder Jason Tilley for their second “Off Map” collaboration project to create a line of hand-crafted, beautifully executed surfboards. Put it all together with Ammunition (the design minds behind the likes of Beats by Dr. Dre and Square), and you get a collection of custom-finished boards built to last — a shoreline manifestation of Octovo’s stated mission: To build “Beautiful Tools for Connected Travelers.” The shapes were selected to match a wide range of conditions for traveling surfers in mind, with original graphic and paint schemes created for each board — as well as custom leash cups cast in either bronze or titanium. Five boards in all, wooden skins with hand-shaped foam, running in the price range of $3,000 each.
