Illustrator and toymaker Patrick Wong has released a limited-edition 3″ resin toy representative of his Beats Series — a collection designed in homage to old-school 12-bit drum machines. This time, Wong anthropomorphizes the legendary E-mu SP-1200 sampler, first released in 1987. With a limited-edition run of  only 50 toys, each is hand-crafted of polyurethane resin and thus to be handled with care — don’t go beating on it like you might with an actual Emu SP 1200. Comes with a numbered card and, naturally, an accessory breaks record by the Honeydrippers. Nice. Start your own city of old-school samplers for $40.
