Just in time for all your summer traveling, Globe Trotter and Hackett have united to design a portmanteau capsule collection of luggage. The impervious hard cases are each lined with a little something special: for the black Mayfair group a Prince of Wales checker liner, blue and white bengal stripe for the London line, and for the Aston Martin set there’s a Union Jack lining. I don’t believe there is any downside to these vintage cases, apart from the fact that you’ll never want to check them at the airport for fear that the baggage handlers will not handle them with the delicacy the bags deserve. Oh and the price tag starting at $725 isn’t really a perk either, but for another $110 you can get a monogram engraving, so maybe that’s the silver lining. Check them set out at Hackett.
