The Art du Temps wall clock by illi and Julien Ado
A well designed conceptual clock is a thing of beauty, and this Art du Temps wall clock designed by illi and Julien Ado for the designby8 is a doozy. The all mechanical Swiss made clock is made up of a grid of articulating square tiles that move about randomly, in time with seconds. When you ask the time (which can be done either remotely or via voice command), the tiles move to reveal a digital clock face that tells you the time. You’ll have to wait until autumn of this year to get your hands on an Art du Temps wall clock, but you’d better have the $95,500 (90,000 Swiss francs) ready to pony up.
