Everyone’s favorite Party Ambassador Andrew W.K. has collaborated with LA promoter, illustrator and DJ extraordinaire Franki Chan on a mixtape for his Check Yo Ponytail! series. The 70-minute Party Tips mix was recorded at Diplo and Switch’s Major Lazer studios by Franki Chan and Greg from Acid Girls, and is a powerhouse set of party jams, dancefloor anthems (David Guetta, Busy P), metal classics (Judas Priest, Motorhead), disco (Cerrone, Chic) and pop fodder drivel (Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown, Lil B), all laced out intermittently with Andrew’s sagely partying advice (such as wearing sunglasses in the shower, or being weary of people who don’t listen to rock music, etc). What more could you want from a damn mixtape? A quick shoutout to AWK himself who celebrated his birthday last night at Chan’s Check Yo Ponytail!2  party, where he performed with Wavves and Trash Talk. Wish we would’ve been there…
