It’s Like If You Hired A Personal Shopper To Hit Up All The Rummage Sales

supermarket-sarah

Note to all the fashionably unemployed out there with a discerning eye for weird little trinkets: forget the corporate world and become a professional rummage reseller. That’s basically what Sarah did here—she quit her day job and turned her home in London (around the corner from Portobello Market) into a boutique where she sells a lot of random shit. This image you’re looking at is literally her living room wall. Take a second and peep her site—even the shopping interaction is fun. I like Sarah’s style…I’m impressed. The fact that a lot of her items basically look like stuff she finds around town or at garage sales or things she creates herself makes this all even better. It’s like if you hired a personal shopper to hit up all the rummage sales. To leave it at that doesn’t do her justice, though—it’s not all about recycling someone’s trash into treasure. Mixed in amongst odd things like this “Churchill Feeling Blue” statue (so ugly is beautiful) or those weird “Garden Creature” thing, you’ll find treats by up and coming designers like that crazy cute Antlers hat by Victoria Grant or a little black dress by Katharine Hamnett. Oh yea, she welcomes visitors with tea and cakes. You are coming into her home, after all…
