After a 16-year hiatus from Le Mans competition, Porsche is back on the racetrack. And in celebration, the iconic Martini race livery makes a comeback too. Based on a 911 Carrera S, Porsche Exclusive’s limited run Martini Racing Edition features the Carrera’s 400-horsepower 3.8-litre flat six-cylinder engine. Mated to the PDK gearbox with activated Sport Plus button, the Martini Racing Edition can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (while retaining a decent fuel consumption of 32.5 mpg). Other notes include the red “Martini Racing Edition” badge along the dashboard, sport design steering wheel, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) navigation, Bose soundsystem, sporty black leather seats and plenty of revised aerodynamics. Oh, and the gorgeous turquoise and red stripes that made Martini famous. Beginning this month the racing Martini will launch around Europe, with China to follow in August and Japan and Latin America in October.
