Versace has done the sneaker again, once again pulling zero points in subtlety and nothing but net when it comes to overt decadence. Having already proven their fondness for a shoe in the black and gold, this Versace Medusa high-top sneaker is another rendition of the black and gold, but also comes in a an equally — if not more — eye-catching cocaine white and gold variety. With an upper and interior constructed from premium leather, tonal stitching, padded heel collar, rounded toe and rubber sole with black towing, things don’t really move into the obnoxious category until the over-extended pad blinged-out with the gold metal signature Medusa head atop a laceless sneaker. The Versace “Medusa” high-top sneaker runs $1,150 and is available in either black or white. As always with Versace, made in Italy.
