If You’re In Milan Right Now Hit Up The Galleria Patricia Armocida

disco

We’ve been sipping Parra’s Cool-Aid for a minute now. His hand-drawn font work, that unmistakable cartoon like bird character, all those highly saturated colors, guys with bird heads, voluptuous women—it’s like jelly on your breath. He’s no one trick pony either, his skill spreads across multiple fields; illustrator, graphic designer, creator of Rockwell Clothing, DJ, and musician in Le Le and Parra Soundsystem. There’s a reason why people toss around “cult” artist when Parra’s name comes up.

If you’re lost in Milan right now, The Galleria Patricia Armocida his hosting “The Disco Of Italo”, the first solo exhibition in Italy by Piet Parra. The exhibit opened last night and features new canvases, original drawings, new prints, posters, and a site-specific installation. You’ve got until June 19 to check it out.
