French New Wave master Jean-Luc Godard’s fascination with dime store novels and American crime films

Great clip from a great movie. The French version is titled Bande à part, it came out in the US as Band Of Outsiders. This particular scene is pretty famous.  It was the influence for the dance scene with Uma Thurman and John Travolta in Taratino’s Pulp Fiction. Pretty dope. Anna Karina is bonkers cute in it too. When is she not, tho?  BTW, there’s another Taratino connection with this film… he named his film production company A Band Apart. Call me crazy, but I bet Scott Sterberg, the main man behind the fashion brand Band of Outsiders is a Jean-Luc Godard fan too.
