We’ve come a long way since the days of design for necessity and the Wave Hammock is a great example of that. No longer are we at a point in our evolutionary sojourn where we have to string a woven bed of palm fronds between two trees to keep leaf cutter ants from systematically chopping us into manageable bits. With a price tag of $23,439 and a 2009 Best of Year Award from Interior Design Magazine, this piece couldn’t be more inaccessible to the likes of me, unless of course Royal Botania wanted to send me one. Oh, I’d hit the edit button on this review in a heartbeat. Yes, I am for sale, if you haven’t already noticed, which makes me a hypocrite. But a hypocrite with a bad-ass sail hammock, indeed.
