It’s no secret we love our Alfa Romeos here, and while the Hungry Serpent keeps releasing cars like this Zagato-designed Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa we see no reason to stop our drooling obsession. Unveiled this past weekend at the Villa D’Este concours, the TZ3 Corsa is another machine of sublime beauty, but unlike the recently unveiled (and impossibly named) 2uettottanta and Pandion, the TZ3 Corsa was designed and built for actual usage — specifically racing, although which series it’s targeted for is still unknown. Inspired visually by its 60s-era TZ1 and TZ2 predecessors, the TZ3 is powered by the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione’s V8 engine and features aluminum bodywork stretched over a tube frame and carbon-fiber chassis. Like the 2uettottanta and Pandion, the TZ3 is a celebration of Alfa’s centenary and specifically their work with the famed Zagata design house (the 2uettottanta and Pandion celebrated Alfa’s work with Pininfarina and Bertone, respectively). Autoblog also posted some in-the-flesh pics from the reveal this weekend so I’m including them in the gallery below. Enjoy!
