Honda throws its hat in the electric scooter game
As electric motorcycles gain more and more traction the world is beginning to take notice, with Honda finally revealing its new EV-neo electric scooter prototype. Honda plans to start leasing the EV-neo in Japan in December of this year, although still no word on when it’ll hit US markets. The EV-neo electric-scooter is equipped with Toshiba lithium-ion batteries and a brushless motor which will accommodate over 18 miles of range on a single charge (a standard 100V power source will take about 4 hours to fully charge). No specifics were given on performance, but Honda stated that the “EV-neo provides performance equivalent to that of mass-market under-50cc gasoline engine motorcycles.”
