Giuliano Fujiwara and has just launched a new line of high-top sneakers as part of his Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Handcrafted in Italy, these futuristic high tops come in a array of colors and styles, a couple of which challenge the traditional boundaries for how high a sneaker can (and should?) go. The padded tongues and metallic trims are a flashback for what we once thought the future would be like. Fujiwara’s design concept, which is “in the City SAMURAI” for this collection, aims to bring the future into the present tense. Are they too future forward…?
